“Designers Against Child Slavery” is a non-profit organization based in Florida that allows creatives to stand against child traffic and sex slavery. Their main goal is to make a difference and be the key to give a voice to those who don’t have one.

The first we knew about this organization we coulnd’t resist the tentation to make our contribution in such a serious ground like child slavery. For that purpose we created a poster, our own version of the cause for the first Exposé of this collective.

The concept was based on a phrase by Albert Einstein: “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who make evil, but because of those who watch and do nothing about it”, followed by a strong subtitle reinforcing the idea: “Over 7.000.000.000 people in the world, 14.000.000.000 eyes that don’t want to see what’s happening”.

“Designers Against Child Slavery” establishes all of their work under the motto: “Knowledge is power”.

Making of

In this project, we focused on showing in the eye all the possible actions, because a child eyes can transmit a lot of information without a single word. We accomplished this by reflecting them in the pupil. We used photography as a supporting element to let us illustrate certain postures, achieving realism and intensity.

We loved the eyelashes part, in which we played with different hand gestures trying to grab something.
